Joe and Vicki Kieva refer to themselves as "RV travel junkies". Since 1963 their journeys, in a variety of RVs, have taken them from Newfoundland to Puerto Vallarta and from the Florida Keys to Fairbanks, Alaska. They have explored all of the United States, driven the length of the Baja Peninsula, visited most of the Canadian Provinces, and toured six European countries.
In 1989, Joe and Vicki celebrated Joe's 50th birthday by making a dream come true. They left their business careers to pursue a more enjoyable lifestyle, exploring America in an RV.
For a while, they escorted RV caravans to Mexico and Alaska. Then they spent the next 18 years criss-crossing the country sharing their knowledge and experience by conducting RV lifestyle seminars at RV shows, rallies and educational events.
Their seminars covered such subjects as choosing the right RV, traveling by RV to places like Alaska and Mexico and even how to make money on the road.
One of their most popular seminars, “Extended RV Travel”, explained how RV travelers can arrange to receive their mail, do their banking, pay their bills, and communicate with home while on the road for long periods of time. More and more people are discovering the joys of extended RV travel.
Although their seminars made them popular figures in the RV community, Joe and Vicki are probably best known for their monthly RV advice columns that appeared in a number of popular RVing magazines (the Good Sam Club’s Highways magazine, Northeast Outdoors, Camperways, and Motorhome magazine).
Responding to requests for more detailed information, Joe and Vicki wrote a number of how-to RV books. The books are now out of print but updated e-book versions of them are still available (see the RV e-books here).
Between their RV trips, Joe and Vicki reside in a house near their children and grandchildren in Huntington Beach, California
